Kendra Mark-Gordon is an accomplished Attorney-at-Law with over fourteen years of legal experience in the public sector, bringing to JCS Caribbean Law a strong background in complex civil litigation and public law. She has appeared before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Industrial Court and is highly skilled in preparing and managing complex cases, drafting pleadings and affidavits, and instructing Senior Counsel in high-stakes proceedings.
Kendra has held progressively senior legal positions at the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs, including Director, Legal in the Attorney General’s Secretariat, where she provided legal opinions to the Honourable Attorney General, reviewed contracts and commercial agreements, and advised Government Ministries, Departments and Statutory Bodies on a wide range of civil and constitutional law matters. Her previous roles include Senior Legal Counsel in both the Attorney General’s Secretariat and the Chief State Solicitor’s Department, where she represented the State in bankruptcy and Official Receiver matters and managed complex litigation portfolios.
Her early career included roles as Legal Officer and Legal Counsel at the Chief State Solicitor’s Department, where she gained extensive experience in civil procedure, preparation of cases for trial, and representation of the State in guardianship and mental health applications.
